Holiday Cheer

Holiday Cheer

December 23. 2009

Tomorrow is Christmas Eve!  Children of all ages are awaiting this day with anticipation and wonder.  One way we enjoy the holiday season is by enjoying the lights that everyone puts up.  From simple to extravagant, lights make everything magical.

So on a chilly night this past week, we loaded up the mini-staffers and headed over to Burns Park for their Holiday Lights display.  We just eat it up.  This display takes you through Burns Park on a magical holiday ride of lights.

You stay in your car (which is nice on a cold night!) and you drive through waterfalls of colored lights.  There are trains and teddy bears and even a see-saw Santa!  The twelve days of Christmas are represented, as is the town of Bethlehem.

We think this is a great tradition that the City of North Little Rock has created.  And as we turned up our Christmas music and rolled through the holiday cheer, we were instantly warm.

Another way we enjoy Christmas is through the decorations on our tree.  Each ornament that we put up has a special meaning.  Our tree is not a decorator’s tree.  Rather, our tree is filled with memories of places we’ve been and milestones accomplished.  Our tree tells a story each year.  And this year, the Argenta CDC is offering a special commemorative ornament.  So let your tree take on another ornament and another story.
