Please join the Argenta Downtown Council and Certified Arkansas Farmers Market as we announce the first annual Argenta Foodie Festival held Saturday, July 4th, from 9am – 2pm. We’ll be holding a kickoff press conference at 10AM, Wednesday (July 1, 2009) downstairs at North Little Rock City Hall. The press conference will feature North Little Rock Mayor Patrick Hays, John Gaudin of the Argenta Downtown Council and Executive Chef Lee Richardson of Ashley’s Restaurant. We’ll be talking about the new festival and the importance of developing partnerships between local chefs, restaurants and Arkansas farmers and its impact on the community. Please join us as we celebrate the festival announcement.

I visited the Art Market for the first time this past Saturday and was completely blown away! I love hand-made jewelry and really enjoyed visiting with the artists. It was very difficult not to buy every piece I saw! (Three purchases later I had to put on the brakes – ha!)

The atmosphere among vendors and patrons was so convivial, it was impossible not to linger and take it all in. I think the art market is a fine accompaniment to the CAFM; I have no doubt both will continue to grow and grow.

Thanks again for publishing this e-newsletter. I forward it to friends and “tweet” about your hot topics. I want others to know about the “hot” Argenta I now call home.

I am happy to see this newsletter for the Argenta District. I have just opened an antique store at 5th & Maple, so it will be great having this mechanism to keep up with all of the happenings.

In addition to the farmer’s marcket, North Little Rock also features artist Market. It is an exciting new project for the city to support local artists.
Las saturday was the debute for the artist market. It was very promising event. A lot of peope came to check it out. Also, it still need a lot of publicity and advatising.
